Jill Doucette, (pictured on the left) photographer and artist, is a native of Van Buren, Maine and was educated through the New York Institute of Photography. She started her photography business in 2005 and is now providing many services such as weddings, senior portraits, family, children and baby portraits, and special events. She is also a member of The Aroostook F-Stops, Fort Kent Camera Club, New England Camera Council, and Photographic Society of America.

Mindy Chasse, (pictured on the right) also from Van Buren, joined Aroostook Photo Serivces in 2012 as an assistant photographer at weddings and events and is now also taking appointments for photo sessions.

Some of your photos are truly amazing. And from my experience some of them may be relevant to magazine market. Have you ever thought about that? In most cases it’s not about sending photos that your friends like, I would say in most cases magazines have really strange requirements. There are quite a few really good books and websites out there if you go looking. My suggestion is to check one of them – http://www.freelance-market.net – and try a couple magazines until you find out what does the job right for you. And certainly don't be despondent when your images are rejected or not used. After all it’s fun.
